YUZEU

Born 1997 in Northeast China. Graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). Currently lives and works in Shanghai.YU ZEU’s practice centers on the fusion of absurd performance and digital media, constructing a visual language rich in critique and metaphor. He deliberately blurs the boundary between the physical body and its digital extensions, transforming live performance into "video instructions." While leveraging digital media’s capacity for documentation and dissemination, this approach inherently slices and symbolizes raw action, reflecting how performance art exists in fragmented forms within an information-saturated era. YU ZEU’s work acts as a prism, refracting the anxieties and ingenuity of Gen Z artists under technological hegemony. Through seemingly naïve parody, he confronts grand narratives; through bodily performances of loss of control, he questions the rationality of order. This "hyperactivity aesthetics" constitutes a pathological diagnosis of the human condition in an accelerated society.
